“ALS changed my whole life for the better. A year ago I couldn’t read or write fluently. Even though I am very skilled with my hands and knowledge with my job, I couldn’t write reports, which held me back.
After 3 months with ALS, I had read 4 books. I now do crosswords, write about my experiences and can complete reports.” – Doug
“To keep my job I had to get my heavy traffic (HT) licence. I really enjoyed the method of learning [at ALS], I found it valuable. I felt the environment was very welcoming.
When I actually got my HT I was sky high with excitement, absolutely beaming to think I’d achieved my goal. Without ALS I don’t know if I could have done it.” – John
