The core skills your workplace needs
Our programmes have three core modules. You can include all three, or just one, in your programme.
We tailor our programmes to the specific needs of your people and your workplace. All you need to do is let us know how your organisation currently uses technology, and give us some workplace materials for us to base our content on.
The Foundations Module helps people learn the basics. From turning on a computer, to saving files and learning to type.
With those skills under their belt, the Core Apps Module is all about the common apps we all use today. Email. Internet. Word and Excel. Skype. Facebook. And more.
Finally, the In-House Module is tailored to the unique apps you use at your workplace. Got a bespoke software system that is core to your organisation’s success? Our tutors can work alongside your people to build their confidence. No problem.
Fully government funded
We’re funded by the Tertiary Education Commission to run workplace literacy programmes. Today, digital literacy is a core part of being literate.
If you meet these funding criteria, we will not need to charge you for your programme.
To qualify for funding, a person must:
- Be over 16
- Not be in school or education
- Be a New Zealand citizen or resident
- Not have NCEA Level 2 or above.
To qualify for funding, the programme must:
- include at least 25 hours’ tuition over 10 to 40 weeks.
- include a free assessment of each learner’s literacy and numeracy skills before and after the programme. This will help you understand the impact on your organisation.
- Have no more than 4:1 ratio of learners to tutors.
