Welcome back

We hope everyone had a great holiday full of over-eating, relaxing and general indulgence. We've taken down the Christmas decorations, pinned up the new calendar, caught up with all those outstanding jobs like fixing the laminator, and we're open for business. Just as well, as the first new students for the year have started and Susan is busy with more assessments. It promises to be a busy year, not all plans have been confirmed but looking likely are:

  • An ESOL course
  • A parenting & life skills course
  • Specific support for NCEA and other correspondence courses

Continuing:

  • One to one tutoring
  • Intensive Literacy and Numeracy Programme (ILN) - offering 6 hours weekly literacy support, combining computer based learning and one to one tutoring.
  • Workplace literacy tuition

For tutors:

  • Tutor professional development day at Whenua Iti outdoor centre Feb 12th
  • Literacy Aotearoa Ngā Hui Heke Tuatoru - Region 3 Hui 1-2 April. Contact us if you want to attend.
  • Literacy Aotearoa Te Hui ā Tau (AGM) and the National Planning Hui (dates to be confirmed)
  • Tutor Training (CALT) March - May (dates will be confirmed shortly)
